Login & Navigate to the Music On Hold Page

Administering the premise-based Fonality Trixbox system is very similar to working with the cloud-hosted Fonality (NetFortis) system. The portal looks almost identical, but it is found at a different web address. You can usually access a Trixbox system at: https://cp.trixbox.com/index.cgi.

Once logged in, select the "music on hold" section in the AutoAnswer tab:

Create a New Playlist

The music on hold page provides a place to control how hold music plays back for one or many offices. From this page, you may add/remove hold playlists and add/delete old hold music.

We recommend creating a custom playlist instead of using default Fonality options.
If you create a new playlist, you may need to select it as the default option in order to hear it playback on-hold.
You would accomplish this by clicking the "Set As Default Playlist" link after creating the new playlist:

Upload Your Hold File

Choose the playlist from the dropdown menu (circled in blue). Click the 'Choose File" button to select your new hold file from your computer,
then press the "Upload" button to add the file to the selected playlist:

Fonality requires 16-bit, stereo MP3 files encoded at 128Kbps.
Provided that Ace Media knows you are currently using the Fonality system, files downloaded from the AceStudio will automatically be encoded correctly.

Delete Old Files & Apply Changes

After a few moments, the page will refresh on its own. You should now see your new hold file in the playlist! Don't forget to delete your old hold music by pressing the red X next to the filename - otherwise, your callers will hear the old music in addition to your new file.

Once the old file is deleted and the page again refreshes, press the "Apply All Changes" button to finish:
